Sometimes, you just want to listen to music without putting a playlist together.
For such occasions, FamilyFirst recommends Radio Blog Club.
If you join Radio Blog Club (for free, of course), you can post your own favorite playlists for others to peruse.
However, you can listen to others’ lists without joining.
It’s pretty cool. I started by punching in the old Godfather of Grunge himself, Neil Young. I picked Rocking in the Free World. When that song was over, What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong popped up. Cool! That was followed by someone I’d never heard of, Leo Ferre. Different, but listenable.
The point is that you get to experience hand-picked playlists that others have painstakingly put together. It makes for an interesting mix of streamed sound.
The player detaches, so you could make this site your homepage, grab a playlist, and go on about your business. The music would just keep playing.
The site is definitely for broadbanders. You’re downloading entire audio files.
But I recommend you give it a try, if you have the bandwidth. It’s good stuff.
